Terms of service
These terms are an agreement between you and SimplySea Labs (run by Kaushik S Gatti) (“we”) for using Chat Sumo at chatsumo.simplysealabs.com. By using the site you agree to them.
What Chat Sumo does
Chat Sumo reads a chat export file in your browser and turns it into story cards with statistics about the chat. Some cards are free; the rest unlock with a one-time payment per chat.
Using it responsibly
- Only use chats you are a participant in, and only export chats you are allowed to.
- Don’t use cards to harass, shame or expose anyone. You are responsible for what you choose to share.
- Don’t try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the payment system or the site.
For fun, not advice
Cards are made for entertainment. Statistics are estimates based on an automated reading of the export and may be imperfect. They say nothing reliable about anyone’s feelings or relationships and are not professional advice.
Payments
- Prices are shown before you pay and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Payments are processed by Dodo Payments (Razorpay for payments from India). A payment unlocks every card for the chat you wrapped, on the device you used.
- When Dodo Payments takes your payment, it is the merchant of record (the reseller) for that purchase, and its buyer terms also apply.
- Unlocked cards are digital content delivered immediately. Refunds follow our refund policy.
Ownership
Your chats stay yours. The design of the cards, the site and the Chat Sumo name belong to us. You may share the card images you create for personal, non-commercial use.
No affiliation
Chat Sumo is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by WhatsApp or Meta Platforms, Inc.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the wrap concerned.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms or change the service. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. Before any dispute, please write to support@simplysealabs.com so we can try to fix it.
